△ [7a-A503-11] High Sensitivity Detection of Gold Nanoparticles in a Gelatin
Keywords:Gold Nanoparticles, Mass Spectrometry
Gold nanoparticles adsorb the laser light and efficiently generate gold ions. Gold nanoparticles possess high potential to be a mass-probe. Previously, signal intensities of gold ions depending on densities of gold nanoparticles are discussed. In this work, desorption/ionization of gold ions from gold nanoparticle in a gelatin section was quantitatively evaluated using mass spectrometry. Signal intensities of gold ions were linear to the nanorod concentrations, when their concentrations were smaller than 5 nM (gold nanorods) in gelatin solutions. The limit of the detection was estimated to be 10 pM (gold nanorods) that corresponded in a gelatin section.
