[7p-A413-3] Simulations of jet plasma for sterilization combining gas flow and plasma generation

We are researching to apply atmospheric pressure plasma jet to plasma sterilization. In this method, transport of active species is important because the plasma is generated in a high-speed gas flow. In order to evaluate the plasma characteristics, a simulation was carried out to calculate plasma generation combining with gas flow simulation in N₂/O₂ gas. Diffusion of electrons by gas flow and transport of neutral particles to the downstream were observed.
