The development of innovative devices using quantum dots is expected for ultrahigh information, ultralow power consumption, renewable energy use, and high security. Various quantum dot device applications have been developed by research and development of crystal growth technology of quantum dots which is the most important issue of quantum dot technology. In this presentation, I will talk about recent progress on self-assembled quantum dots, including our recent works, and discuss it for future development.
