Mass spectrometry (MS) is an effective tool that can analyze multiple biomolecules in tissue simultaneously. In this study, the signal of tetrapeptide Gly-Gly-Tyr-Arg (GGYR) which has a relatively large molecular weight was measured by using the surface-assisted laser desorption / ionization mass spectrometry using carbon nanowalls (CNWs) as a surface support material. We succeeded in detecting fragment signal of GGYR.In addition, mixing the GGYR with the organic matrix (α - CHCA) improved the signal sensitivity of the fragment.
