[14p-414-7] Coherence Analysis of Ions Field Evaporated by Alternate Laser and Voltage Pulse

Osamu Nishikawa2, Masahiro Taniguchi1 (1.Kanazawa Ins. Tech., 2.Appl. Chem)

Keywords:laser pulse, voltage pulse, alternate trigger

Atom probe analysis proceeds by applying voltage pulses or by irradiating laser pulses to a specimen to field evaporate individual surface atoms and molecles instantaneously. However, evaporation mechanisms of voltage and laser pulses are different. Thus, different ions are detected from a same specimen. Accordingly, laser and voltage pulses are alternately applied to a specimen. Then it will be discused that which pulse is desirable for the mass analysis of biomolecules.
