[14p-E205-3] A perfect superlattice with aligned plane orientation of PbS quantum dots

Quantum dot (QD) superlattice solar cells are expected to be able to absorb a wide range of solar energy by the intermediate band, theoretically achieving a conversion efficiency of 70% or more. Since chemical synthesis QD has good symmetry, it is possible to fabricate a superlattice structure with little lattice mismatch. When individual QDs in the superlattice have the same plane orientation, the carrier mobility increases and the conversion efficiency increases. In this study, we fabricated a faceted QD and studied a means to realize a QD superlattice in which each QD has the same plane orientation.
