Continuous measurements of liquid properties, such as drink and oil, are required. In this paper, a shear horizontal surface acoustic wave (SAW) sensor was installed in a direct methanol fuel cell. Estimation method of concentration of fuel, that is methanol, was discussed. The estimated results were compared with the concentration measured by a conventional density meter. The both value agree well. Therefore, we concluded that the proposed estimation method is the effective for the direct methanol fuel cell.
