[15a-B6-4] Origins of Electrode Contact Resistance on Bilayer Graphene
Keywords:bilayer graphene, electrode contact resistance, bandgap
A finite bandgap is formed in bilayer graphene by introducing a potential difference between its constituent graphene layers. At the electrode contacts in a transistor, charge transfer occurs at the electrode-bilayer graphene contacts, and the potential difference is introduced unintentionally. As a result, depending on the sign of the gate voltage, inter-band transport occurs through pn junctions near the electrode contacts, leading to an increase in the electrode contact resistance. In this talk, the electrode-bilayer graphene contact resistance will be comprehensively discussed by considering origins such as the inter-band transport.
