Keywords:high energy physics, International Linear Collider (ILC), liberal arts education

In a liberal arts education in Hiroshima University, we have given an omnibus lecture on “Science and Radiation” for more than 10 years. The lecture aims to give basic knowledge and a scientific way of thinking of radiations though lectures on scientific researches with various kinds of radiations. In this talk, we overview the contents of the lecture and introduce experimental particle physics with International Linear Collider, as an example of an introduction of advanced knowledge in the liberal arts education.
