[15p-F206-11] Reversible control of thermal conductivity for tungsten oxides by oxidation and reduction
Keywords:thermal switching, oxides
In order to utilize the unharnessed heat for the conservation, the technology which control theraml energy such as thermal storage and thermal diode have been intensively studied. Our group focused on the development of theramal switching materials to control the heat emission and storage. We have reported that the values of thermal conductivity for tungsten oxides largely changed by the oxigen contents. Due to the metallic electrical conduction, W18O49 exhabits the larger thermal conductivity than that of WO3. In the present study, we demonstrated the reversible control of thermal conductivity by heat treatment for oxidation and reduction.
