[16a-414-2] Formation of Spherulites in LB films of Alkylammonium-Au(dmit)2 Salt

We have already reported that the LB film based on Alkylammonium-Au(dmit)2 salt exhibits a high electrical conductivity after electro-oxidation. However, the improvement of order in the film is one of the important issues because disorders limit the macroscopic conduction in the thin-film system. We have already reported that a spherulite morphology is observed by annealing the film at 80℃. The report was preliminary and we have not yet elucidated the formation mechanism of the spherulite and the lamellae structure. Here we discuss on the interior lamellae structure and the formation mechanism of the spherulites based on results obtained by optical microscopy, Fourier-transformed infrared spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction.
