We have been studying the development of radiation detectors using iridium (Ir) with extremely high chemical stability as a superconducting transition edge sensor (TES).Since Ir has a sharp superconducting transition to 112 mK in bulk, excellent energy resolution is expected even if it is used as a single superconducting thin film in the temperature sensor part of TES. In order to make full use of the characteristics of this single superconducting Ir thin film, we aim to realize a single photon detector which greatly improves sensitivity characteristics and response speed by minimizing the sensor part of thin film. In this report, we will report on the state of the metal film which determines the performance of TES.
