Keywords:bismuth phosphate glass, XANES, glass structure

Glass structure and optical properties of fluorine-doped zinc bismuth phosphate glass have been investigated. Structure analysis was performed by using soft x-eay absorption spectroscopy. It was found that fluorine ions terminated mainly to bismuth ions from F-K, P-K, Zn-L and Bi-M absorption edge spectra. It was consistent with the result of Raman spectroscopy. The main absorption band related to the bismuth ions was affected by this doping.
