Silica glass can be bound by heating contacted polished surface with load. In this study, a high OH-containing silica glass and an OH-free silica glass with containing oxygen deficient center (ODC) had been bound, and compared with the sample of OH-containing silica glasses with different OH content. We found that amount of penetration in OH-free silica is less than that of in the case of less OH region in the OH containing silica. This difference may be derived from the effect of the trap of water by the ODC.
