[16p-414-7] Electrostatic vibration energy harvesting device using polymer electret

Yuji Suzuki1 (1.Univ. of Tokyo)

Keywords:energy harvesting, vibration, electret

Vibration energy harvesting is to extract electricity from environmental vibration such as vibration of machine, buildings and human motion, and consider as an enabling technology for Internet of Things (IoT). In this talk, development of high-performance polymer electret based on amorphous fluorinated polymer is introduced, and prototyping of vibration/rotational electret energy harvesters is discussed. Finally, role of vibration energy harvesting for future IoT will be given.
