In this work, we have fabricated color sensors using ZnO nanoparticle layer and three organic semiconductors (PCPDTBT, P3HT, MEH-PPV) having absorption wavelength peaks in the three primary colors (Red, Green, Blue), respectively. To improve the photoelectric conversion efficiency, the correlation between the interface states density at in the photovoltaics device and the external quantum efficiency was evaluated by using the photoelectric conversion characteristics and the results of C-V measurement. In addition, we report the result of painting RGB separately on flexible substrate for fabricating the color sensor array devices which have the differential circuits reproducing the characteristics of compound eyes.
