Multiple-reflection interferometry (MRI) like mirrorless Fabry-Pérot interference possesses many advantages such as high sensitivity, simple optical system and ease of measurement. The first observation of electro-optically induced phase of 30 nano-radian was achieved by applying ac voltage of 5 mV to a Y-cut LiTaO3 crystal with a half-wavelength of 367 kV. It was confirmed experimentally and theoretically that quantum detection limit can be achieved using the MRI.
