[17p-414-3] Two-stps quantum wavelength conversion for connecting the quantums in diamonds

Our group is studying to build a quantum repeater based on the nitrogen-vacancy (NV) center in diamond. By using two PPLN waveguides, we demonstrate a frequency down-conversion of the 637 nm light to the telecommunication band at 1.5 μm, and a frequency up-conversion of the 1.5 μm light to 637 nm. From this experimental result, we discuss the feasibility of a long-distance quantum communication based on NV centers in diamonds.
