Keywords:electron paramagnetic resonance, automatic matching control

Electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) is a kind of magnetic resonance phenomenon, caused by the irradiation AC magnetic field matched to a specific resonant frequency of electron-spins in a statistic magnetic field. For example, EPR can be applicable to in-vivo imaging of free radicals. Since the body activities affect the EPR conditions, the matching conditions of a resonator are also changed every second. In this study, the automatic matching control system for the resonator was developed to follow the EPR conditions. This system was featured by feedback control to keep the reflection signal from the resonator at almost zero. The control procedures were also analyzed by using a LabVIEW-based simulator, in which the matching system was modeled.
