We have shown that the diffusion coefficient of hydroxyl groups in silica glass is proportional to OH concentration, by analyzing the OH-profile change by heating applying an analysis method called the Boltzmann Matano’s method to the binding samples of silica glassed with different OH concentrations. We proposed an improved method that use a functional approximation providing reliable results, because we used an analog method that take a many times and hard to apply the data for the profile that diffused from the surface.
