[18p-PB3-1] Fabrication of ultra-lightweight composite materials by carbon nanotube / carboxymethyl cellulose

Ultra-light weight materials are expected to be applied to heat insulating materials, filters, and adsorbents, but the mechanical properties are greatly reduced with decreasing density. It is difficult to produce low-density materials with high elasticity. In this study, we tried to prepare high strength ultra-lightweight aerogel material by compositing high - elasticity carbon nanotube (CNT) and carboxymethyl cellulose. When the composition ratio of CNT / CMC was varied, mechanical properties improved as the composition ratio of CNT increased in the high-density region.
