The carbon nanocoil (CNC) is a helical carbon nanofiber (CNF). CNC is mainly synthesized from Fe - ITO and Fe - Sn catalysts. It is believed that when CNF grows there is a difference in growth rate between the inside and the outside of the fiber cross section, a spiral structure is formed. The presence of impurities such as metal catalysts used during synthesis affects the behavior of devices fabricated with CNC, so purification of CNC is necessary. In this study, sulfuric acid was used to remove metal catalyst attached to CNC.
