In this study, we developed a novel synthesis method of ZnO/C core/shell nanocables. This synthesis method can continuously fabricate ZnO/C core/shell nanocables from a supply of Zn and carbon atoms provided by the evaporation of brass electrodes and decomposition of aniline vapor in DC arc discharge. Synthesis mechanism of ZnO/C core/shell nanocables was investigated by analyzing emission spectra in plasma discharge and the elemental compositions of products.
