[18p-PB3-44] Characterization of radiation characteristics for a graphene-based optically transparent monopole antenna
Keywords:optically transparent antenna, graphene, microwave bands
We fabricated an optically transparent monopole antenna based on chemical vapor deposition (CVD)-grown monolayer graphene with an Al plate and characterized its radiation properties in microwave bands. It is estimated that the operational frequency of a reference Cu monopole antenna and a graphene monopole antenna having the same antenna structure were 10 and 28 GHz, respectively. The measurements of the radiation patterns indicated that the fabricated graphene antenna operated as a quarter-wavelength monopole antenna at 26.5 GHz. We characterized the radiation properties of the graphene antenna with removing unnecessary things, such as a feeder line and SMA connector.
