Indium sulphide/Ag nanohybrid structures were synthesized using homogeneous preciptation technique.In the promixity of the Ag nanoparticles, the excitonic binding energy of the indium sulfide shows a blue shift ~ 500 meV. Pure indium sulfide shows the emission ~484 nm, 532nm, and 600 nm. Incorpating the silver nanoparticles into the indium sulfide quantum dots the emission at 484nm is enhanced and emission at 532 nm is quenched.However the emission at 563 nm is enhanced due to strong defect level coupling.The coupling of the electronic states of indium sulfide also resulted in the shift of emission wavelength from 670 nm(red) to 494nm (blue).
