[19p-221B-1] [INVITED] Role of sparsity in optical phase imaging

Kedar Khare1 (1.Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, New Delhi, India)

Keywords:Quantitative phase imaging, Image reconstruction, Image sparsity

I will review our work over the last few years on using image sparsity ideas to enable enhanced optical phase imaging performance. Both interferometric and non-interferometric phase imaging modalities will be considered along with their applications. It will be shown that sparsity based methods enable us to outperform several traditional limits on resolution, noise and data incompleteness.
