[20a-431B-6] Rotational Diffusion of Er124 powders Aligned under Magnetic Field

The crystal system of REBa₂Cu₃O_y (RE123) and REBa₂Cu₄O₈ (RE124) which is superconducting ceramics having a high critical temperature is orthorhombic, therefore three-dimensional orientation under magnetic fields is possible. Three-dimensionally alignment of the microcrystals is necessary for practical use. After achieving three-dimensional magnetic orientation of microcrystals, solidification of orientation outside the magnetic field is the next step for practical procedure. In this report, rotational diffusion after orientation under magnetic fields was investigated by X-ray diffraction method using Er 124 particles.
