To mitigate the increase in national medical expenses due to the aging population, we are currently researching and developing biosensors using complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) integrated circuits, which is one of the basic technologies in preventive medicine. Recently, we have realized a biosensor array with the redox-potential detection using an extended gate that applies enzyme-immobilized microbeads. And improving the biosensor sensitivity, we succeeded in arranging each microbead on each channel in the biosensor array. However, it became clear that the arrangement precision of the microbeads was not high. Therefore, we considered increasing the magnetic force acting on the microbeads as a method to increase the arrangement precision. We made a Halbach array magnet that outputs higher external magnetic field strength than the previous one as a means of it. As a result, it was confirmed that the new Halbach array magnet was prototyped and outputted a higher magnetic field strength than the previous one.
