[20a-PB1-10] Preparation and evaluation of new lithium battery by use of iron phthalocyanine catalyst

In this presentation, we evaluated a new lithium battery that utilizes the redox reaction of lithium peroxide as solid-state oxygen. Preparation of the lithium peroxide redox catalyst and analysis of the cathode reaction were conducted. An inexpensive new catalyst was prepared by using iron which is a base metals. The operation of the new lithium battery was demonstrated by using the new catalyst. Raman spectroscopic measurement were carried out as an analysis of the cathode reaction. From the Raman spectroscopy, it was suggested that lithium superoxide was generated during the preparation of the cathode and that lithium superoxide was disappeared in the charging reaction.
