[20p-222-12] Fabrication of sulfur-functionalized polymer materials by surface chemical modification
Keywords:surface chemical modification, sulfur functionalities, polymer materials
A useful method for surface chemical modification of polymer materials with sulfur functionalities was developed via radical processes of the photolysis of elemental sulfur. A subsequent treatment of sulfur-modified polymer materials with metal nanoparticles allowed the attachment of gold, palladium and cupper nanoparticles, respectively, on the surface of materials through the functionalized linkages. The covalent functionalization was confirmed by means of XPS, SEM and EDS.
