[20p-231B-2] Local structural analysis of the disordered organic heterointerfaces
Keywords:organic semiconductor, organnic heterointerfaces, scanning tunneling microscopy
In this work, we directly probed local structure of α-6T/F16CuPc heterointerface, where the interface structure has been believed to be disordered, employing scanning tunneling microscopy (STM). The STM measurements revealed that α-6T molecules penetrate into the ordered F16CuPc monolayer and a disorder phase is formed where α-6T and F16CuPc are molecularly mixed. The result suggests that α-6T perturbs the molecular order of F16CuPc with flexibly changing α-6T’s shape. The driving force of the disordering might be the attractive interaction between α-6T and F16CuPc and/or the substrate. In this talk, we will also discuss the effect of functional group in phthalocyanine on the disordered structure by comparing the STM results of α-6T/F16CuPc interface with α-6T/CuPc interface.
