[20p-311-16] Evaluation of out-of-plane heat transport in graphene/h-BN/graphene heterostructure

We fabricated graphene/h-BN/graphene heterostructure and investigated its out-of-plane heat transport. One of the graphenes is used as an electric Joule heater. The other graphene is used as a thermoelectric detector based on Seebeck effect. The thermoelectric signal generated in the detector graphene monotonically increases with applied electric power to the heater graphene. These results indicate that there is a significant heat transport from heater graphene to detector graphene through 41 nm-thick h-BN layer.
