[20p-PB5-8] Research of TlCl-CdCl₂ eutectic crystal scintillator

We report the scintillation properties of TlCdCl₃-TlCl eutectic crystal. Eutectic crystal is rich in Thallium. And thallium will show a good scintillation properties due to its high atomic number (Z=81). The crystal sample was prepared from the melt using self seeding solidification method. The ratio luminescence emission bands appeared near the wavelength of 503 nm. The scintillation light yield reached 10,000 photons/MeV .
