[21a-133-7] Bifacial Amorphous Si Quintuple-Junction Solar Cells for Application to IoT

In our group, we are developing bifacial amorphous Si multi-junction solar cells for application to IoT devices. For application to IoT, an operation voltage of 3 V or more is required. In this work, we tried amorphous Si-based quintuple-junction solar cells to increase operating voltage. As a result, an open circuit voltage of 3.4 V was obtained under 3000 lux of LED illumination.
