[21a-212A-5] Sensitive Terahertz detection with series combination between carbon nanotube films and metals for non-destructive imaging applications

In this research, we achieved 7pW/Hz1/2 as the sensitivity of Terahertz detection by fabricating the series combination between carbon nanotube films and metals, and optimizing the property of series electrodes from the view point of the photothermoelectric effect. Not only the fact that our novel type device reached one of the highest sensitivity in terahertz detection among terahertz detectors which works at room temperature, but also we applied it into the array scanner and demonstrated terahertz imaging for the applications such as non-destructive in-line inspection.
