Al nanocylinder array was fabricated using nanoimprint lithography in combination with reactive ion etching (RIE). On this Al nanocylinder, a ferromagnetic Fe was deposited by electron-beam deposition. After Fe deposition, we measured the optical transmittance and Faraday rotation. At the wavelength where the optical diffraction in the plane of the array and LSPR excited simultaneously, the strong enhancement of Faraday rotation was observed. We simulated the transmittance by using finite element method (COMSOL Multiphysics) and investigated the mechanism of this enhanced Faraday rotation.
