Nanometre spacial resolution measurements of weak AC magnetic fields have many interesting applications in physics and biology. In our research, we use coherent control of individual electron spins residing in nitrogen-vacancy (NV) centres in n-type diamond at room temperature. In these phosphorus-doped samples, we were able to find many NV centres with coherence times over 2 ms. Using these NV centres, we measured the sensitivity for AC magnetic fields.
