A width-modulated air-slot based cascaded photonic crystal nanocavity is designed and analyzed for the applications in on-chip wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM). An air slot with modulated width is placed at the centre of the cascaded cavity. The width modulation is primarily to trap different frequency components at different positions. A 3D FDTD method is used to calculate resonant frequency at different positions inside the nano-cavity and corresponding resonant wavelengths are 1550 nm,1555 nm,1560 nm and 1575 nm.
