[17p-B401-3] Evaluation on characteristics and design of HTS coil system for medical MRI and accelerator

Atsushi Ishiyama1 (1.Waseda Univ.)

Keywords:superconducting coil, medical application, numerical analysis

We have been developing REBCO high-temperature superconducting coil systems for 9.4-T MRI and cyclotron for cancer therapy. Especially, we focus on magnet technology to realize the coil systems with 5-Hign (high mechanical strength, high current density, high thermal stability, high magnetic field and high field accuracy) performances. In this presentation, some numerical analysis techniques for evaluation on characteristics and design of 5-high coil systems.
