The strong enhancement of the electric field associated with a localized surface plasmon (LSP) excitations on a noble metal nanoparticle (NP) plays a key role in various applications such as biosensing devices and photovoltaics. The enhancement of an electric filed is known to be sensitive on the size and the separation distance of metal NPs. Therefore, the luminescence of NPs should be evaluated in nanoscale to utilize NPs as nano optoelectronic devices. In this paper, we fabricated the well-ordered two-dimensional (2D) array of silver NPs (AgNPs) using the drop-casting method, and their luminescence properties have been investigated using scanning tunneling microscope light emission spectroscopy (STM-LE). We will discuss the detail analysis of the luminescence from AgNPs together with the result of the 2D mapping of STM-LE.
