A benzothiophene derivative functionalized with a self-assembling tool (G-BT) exhibited a room-temperature phosphorescence whose peak wavelength and lifetime are 537 nm and 1.22 ms by aggregation in solution system. In addition, a transparent polymer film, which is fabricated by a drop-casting of G-BT solution containing EVA resin, also exhibited a room-temperature phosphorescence whose peak wavelength and lifetime are 525 nm and 1.28 ms.
