A microcavity structure self-assembled from an organic material is attracting attention as an organic laser medium because its shape and dimension can be controlled easily depending on the molecular modification and the fabrication conditions. Recently we reported that microcavities such as microneedle crystals of 5,5’-Bis(4- biphenylyl)-2,2’-bithiophene (BP2T) and microdots of Bis(N,N-di-p-tolylamino-p-styryl)benzene (DADSB) fabricated on KCl substrates and laser oscillation by optical excitation from them. Here we report that fabrications of 1,4-Bis(4-methylstyryl)benzene (DSB-4Me) microneedle crystals and DADSB microdots.
