NO₂^-とHNO₂の酸解離平衡反応，殺菌に係る種の前駆体であるONOOHの分解経路と分解後の種，および化学反応の速度定数を考慮した反応モデルに基づくレート方程式を用いて，窒素ガス雰囲気の水上パルス放電によって生成されるH₂O_2, NO₂^-およびNO₃^-の濃度を算出し，計算結果が実測値とおおむね一致することを示す。
