In this study, the authors develop an open planar antenna element that operates in the terahertz band with the aim of dramatically improving the performance of the high-temperature superconducting terahertz sources. In the poster, we will describe the details of the antenna design and will discuss the effect of electromagnetic coupling via antenna elements on the terahertz-emission characteristics.
