[18p-C303-7] Polarization sensitive optical coherence elastography for biomechanics and polarization imaging

Keywords:Optical coherence tomography, birefirngence imaging, biomechanics

In this presentation, we describe the brief principle of a Jones matrix optical coherence tomography which measures three-dimensional distribution of tissue birefringence in vivo. The relationship between the tissue birefringence and tissue mechanical property is discussed. In addition, a novel OCT device, Jones matrix optical coherence elastography, which enables simultaneous visualization of depth-resolved tissue birefringence and mechanical property, is presented.
