紫外線波長領域において高い反射率を有する高品質な誘電体（SiO₂/HfO₂）分布ブラッグ反射鏡を、独自の製膜法である反応性ヘリコン波励起プラズマスパッタ法により形成した結果を報告する。反射率を低下させる要因である、膜の表面粗さによる光の散乱、および材料による光の吸収の観点から議論を行う。
