Recently we have reported an improvement of electro-optic response (low driving voltage) in vertically aligned ferroelectric liquid crystal devices by making anchoring very weak using Slippery interface. In this study, we introduced the photopolymerized nematic liquid crystal at the substrate interface, and studied its effect on the electro-optic properties.
