Temperature wave analysis (TWA) is the method for the measurement of thermal diffusivity and thermal effusivity of the thin film samples by using alternating thermal stimulation. In the case of time dependent phenomena such as in the glass transition of polymers, the multi frequency measurement is preferred to determine the frequency dependence of thermal properties. In this study, the multi frequency TWA method in fast-mode is proposed for analyzing the spectrum of temperature wave on heating-cooling, including the phase transition region. The method is applied to the solid-nematic-liquid phase transition of 5OCB (4-Cyano-4'-pentyloxybiphenyl) and the temperature wave spectrum was measured during each phase transition as a function of temperature.
