液晶(LC)と反応性メソゲン(RM)を、分子配向秩序を維持したままメゾ(サブミクロン～10ミクロン程度)スケールで、光重合誘起相分離(PPIPS)し、温度とともに、透明⇔白濁が可逆的に切り換わる調光を実現した。この透明/白濁化の温度依存性は、作製条件によって作り分けることができる。本素子は、生活温度領域で動作し、スマートウィンドウや熱可視化シートなどへの応用が期待される。
