We have studied Pt-free dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) toward the development of inexpensive DSSCs. Carbon materials, such as porous carbon and carbon nanotubes, have the high conductivity and the potential as the counter electrode of DSSCs, so we focused on graphene in this research. Because it is considered that the surface area of the carbon material influence on the electrochemical characteristics, electrochemical measurements of graphene electrodes, which have different specific surface areas, were carried out.
